The repair guys at 2 dealerships said this is normal and that GM has a new design of engine mounts to absorb the vibration so you won't feel it.

2017 Suburban Rough Idle

Bought vehicle as a trade from the Canyon. Dealer drove vehicle from out of State. At an idle the rpm needle would move. Technicians said it was a new vehicle and the higher altitude and fuel in Colorado was cause. Vehicle had miles on it when I first got it. Vehicle has about 7, miles and still idles rough while rpm gauge moves. Service Manager said I am using the wrong fuel and that the injectors misfired. The reset the code to which I have never had a light come on to begin with.

I am running a 6. First noticed the vibration at delivery Januarybut dismissed it as cheap gas the dealer provided and the cold winter temperatures.

After about 1k miles tolerance for the vibration reached its peak. I took to the dealer, to which they quickly dismissed since it was not throwing a code or misfiring. They even did a vibration test using a meter and said it was the truck's designed harmonics I was feeling. Total BS I have a had few brand new trucks in my life I took the truck to a different dealer at 3k miles. They too noticed the vibration, but since was not throwing a code, unable to fix.

This new dealership even went as far as pulling in exact copy of my truck from their lot only had 3 miles on it and showed me that truck vibrated as well.

I guess it really is a design issue. Needless to say, I am voicing my opinion to GM and will never buy another vehicle from them again. This truck was 55k out-the-door. It's slight, but no new 50k plus car should run like that. It's annoying and I think going to increase engine wear. Took it to the dealer who said "that's just the way they are," caused be the electronics trying to squeeze the engine for max fuel economy.

The dealer has had 4 attempts at fixing it. There is also a noise associated with the vibration. They have changed tires twice,Force Balanced tires, replaced one wheel, a shock, Driveshaft and ,universal joints, and Yoke at differential.

Besides the console shaking, I feel it in the seat. Feels like an old Hotel Bed, the ones you put the quarter in. The problem was better, but started to come back as time went on. The Dealer says they know what it is, and refuse to give me the info. They also did a vibration test on driveshaft which they say is now in GM specs. I am still not satisfied so am claiming Michigan Lemon Law.

I Have had "Last Chance " letter sent by an attorney. When I took the truck in, one of the Service Advisors stated that there was a Bulletin on replacing the motor mounts. No one else knew that, I sure have heard my share of BS. I have been way too nice to them, but I treat everyone with respect, even if they don't know how to handle the situation.

I have learned that the Dealer is not the one to try to get the problem resolved. I have learned that the Phone Number and Address in the back of the Manual, is to the Manufacturer, and they need to be informed of the Problem. So I guess this has been going on for about 3 years. It made me sick to see on Youtube, all the problems just like mine. This is going to be a complete buyback from GM. I still have an 8ft.

How to fix a rough idle part 2

Leer Cap for Sale, I need to get rid of it before returning the truck. I misspoke about the Bank helping me. They did not. I have also talked with a couple peopleone who used to work in the transmission plantand one who is an engineer for GM. They both said it was something with the computer and trans not communicating properly, and that is what is causing " A Shudder".

I feel it may be more than that. They have done very little to nothing to help resolve my problem.
